6B East Aurora / Town of Aurora Police Department Interdepartmental Correspondence To: Mayor Luke Wochensky & Village Board; Supervisor Charles Snyder & Town Board From: Patrick Welch, Chief of Police Date: May 7th, 2026 Re: Monthly Report - April 2026 General Information Meetings: In addition to Village Board, Town Board and Staff meetings I also attended the following: Erie County Police Chief's Association Monthly Meeting 0 Conducted five in person final pistol permit interviews 0 Attended Commissioner of DCJS statewide tour in Buffalo 0 Conducted a part-time dispatcher interview 0 Attended July 3"¢ celebration planning meeting 0 Met with Grant writer Robbyn Drake and Deputy Mayor Root Oo about Police equipment grants and grants for the building at 571 Main Street. o Met with Orchard Park PD and New York State Police about assistance for Heart of Music festival o Met with Gina Wilkolaski, from Erie County Highway Department about Pine Street resident concerns and the upcoming Maple Road reconstruction. Special Events: The annual Rotary Club Bunny Hop 5k was held on Saturday, April 4, 2026. This event involved police and crossing guard services. This event ran smoothly and has been a tradition in our community for many years now.
