LOCAL LAW NO. 8 OF 2026 A LOCAL LAW TO INCREASE THE SALARY OF THE HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT DURING THE CURRENT TERM OF OFFICE Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Aurora, County of Erie, State of New York, as follows: Section 1. Title This local law shall be known as “A Local Law to Increase the Salary of the Highway Superintendent During the Current Term of Office.” Section 2. This local law is adopted pursuant to the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York, § 10(1)(ii)(a), which authorizes towns to adopt local laws relating to the compensation of their officers, notwithstanding any inconsistent provision of the New York State Constitution, Article 13, § 7, or of any general, special, or local law. Section 3. Salary Increase The annual salary of the Highway Superintendent of the Town of Aurora shall be increased from $110,331.00 to $115,331.00, effective January 1, 2026, and continuing through the remainder of the current term of office. Such declaration shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions hereof, which other portions shall continue in full force and effect. Section 6.
