TOWN OF WEST SENECA ENVIRONMENTAL COMMISSION AGENDA DATE Thursday, May 21, 2026 TIME 6:30 PM LOCATION Large Conference Room, West Seneca Community Center, 1300 Union Road, West Seneca, NY 14224 CALL TO ORDER ROLL CALL • Welcoming new members: Erin Lakomski and Robert Wyeth APPROVAL OF MINUTES • April 16, 2026 ISSUES OF THE PUBLIC CORRESPONDENCE ONGOING COMMISSION PROJECTS • Thanks to those who participated in the Burchfield (BNAC) spring clean-up event on April 25th, and also the Switzer (Knox) Park clean-up and tree check-in on May 16th. • Update on Tree Inventory Grant • Continue discussion on Bee hotels, and other ideas aimed at protecting pollinators in our local environment. What is envisioned as the result of this? A list of activities, and / or a formal recommendation to the Town Board? GOVERNANCE • Vote on Ben Szablewski as Vice Chairperson • Nomination for Financial Secretary of the commission • Nomination of Barb Lipew as an associate member of the commission. NEW BUSINESS • At the park clean-up activity on May 16th, an idea was brought up to possibly select and schedule additional clean-up activities in other parks, maybe monthly or on some other schedule. 1
