Authorize Grant Application for 2026 NY PLAYS Grant Initiative WHEREAS, the New York Places for Learning, Activity, and Youth Socialization (NY PLAYS) initiative is sponsored by New York State to support the design, construction, and renovation of Playgrounds that are open to the public in communities across the State; and WHEREAS, the Town of West Seneca seeks to pursue funding under this program to construct a new playground facility at Harlem Road Park; and WHEREAS, the NY PLAYS grant requires a minimum 20% match towards the total capital project cost; NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of West Seneca will supply matching cash funds in an amount no less than 20% of the total capital costs, currently estimated to be $824,464.00, amounting to a match of at least $164,893.00; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; that the Town Supervisor be and hereby is authorized and directed to file the NY PLAYS grant application and to execute all documents pertaining to the application for and acquisition of said funding. __________________________________ Kate Newton, Town Clerk Seal of Municipality Page 54 of 186
