VILLAGE ATTORNEY REPORT – No report this evening.

TRUSTEE NOTES & PROJECT REPORTS
  Trustee Schuster
o Green Springville is having their annual donation of trees in the Village on 4/25/2026. All you need to do is fill out a
form online and they will plant the tree for you.
o Status update to CEO Baker on the Erie County STR registry. The contract has been signed and is in the
implementation stages. Once active, by law, Erie County will share this registry with municipalities and then the
Village will have a full scope of STR’s located in the Village.
o School concert season is coming soon, and Trustee Schuster wants it noted that if you need road closures for
parking, please make sure to apply for the appropriate permits.
o Trustee Schuster hopes people take what Ashley Lowry said during public comment to heart. The court plans need
to be discussed in public and there needs to be transparency about the court plans for the future.
  Trustee Lipka
o Reached out to Ed Heary about the VOS Farmer’s market in Heritage Park and he thanked the Board for all their
help in getting the farmers market in Springville. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony on 5/9/2026 and all
members of the Village Board are welcome to attend.
o Reached out to the Town of Concord supervisor about the fireworks celebration to take place on 7/3/2026 at
Community Park. This will be a celebration of America’s 250th anniversary and will include a band and the pledge
of allegiance before the fireworks display at dusk. The Town of Concord and the Village of Springville stand
  together as a collaborative community.
o Regarding Ashley Lowry’s statements during public comment, Judge Gibbin is a well-respected person within the
community and well within her rights legally to represent the Village and Town. Gene Heintz has a high character
and strong moral compass and is a sitting judge. She thought the comments were disrespectful and the facts weren’t
  accurate.
  Trustee Roberts
o Attended his 1st SYI Board meeting and is gaining info on capital projects and getting up to speed. The overall
  program membership is up.
  Trustee Baker
o The community cleanup is on April 26 – will begin at the Moose Club at 11 and go until late afternoon. There is no
need to pre-register. There will be an after-party fundraiser and basket raffle. Proceeds to benefit Kiwanis Club and
the Garden Club to help repair the Village of Springville sign at Lowes.
o The Village of Springville sign at Lowes needs work, this location is 1st priority as it needs the most work.
o Reached out to the Rail Trail contact.
o Reached out to the library contact.
o Is registering to go to the Southern Tier West training at Houghton College on 6/4/2026.
  Mayor Belscher
  o No report this evening.

TREE COMMITTEE REPORT - None

PUBLIC COMMENT
o Tim Michaels – 346 North Buffalo Street – Didn’t agree with Ashley Lowry’s comments. Tim believes the board
has made a good decision by appointing Gene Heintz as Associate Justice. He highly recommends Gene Heintz as
he is a sitting judge with years of experience.

Motion was made by Trustee Schuster, seconded by Trustee Lipka, and carried with unanimous approval to adjourn the
