TOWN OF SARDINIA ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING MINUTES – Appeal #2601 May 21, 2025 Members Present: Ron Phillips Ted Krolick Mark Sasse Also Present Town Clerk Jennifer Bray Applicant Terry and Michelle Armstrong from Armstong Enterprises LLC 2 Guests Chairman Phillips called the meeting to order at 7:31 and led everyone in the pledge to the flag. Chairman Phillips explained that the reason for the meeting was that applicant Armstong Enterprises LLC is requesting an area variance to the current set back requirement of 25 feet for a side yard for a storage building. They are asking for a 17 foot set back in order to not lose parking. There was a brief discussion with the applicant including how much of a roof overhang there would be, water runoff and potential exterior lighting. Michael Geist, member of the Kingdom Hall next door spoke and stated they have no issues with where the new building would be located and they are fine with it being closer to their property line. After another brief discussion Chairman Phillips felt with the roof overhang it would be better to have a 16 foot set back. The board agreed. There was no further discussion. Mr. Phillips asked for a motion to approve the Area Variance allowing a 16 foot set back. On a motion from Krolick, seconded by Sasse the Area Variance was granted by the following vote: Phillips, aye, Krolick, aye, Sasse, aye. Carried, 3 ayes, 0 noes. There being no further business to come before the board Chairman Phillips asked for a motion to adjourn. On a motion from Krolick, seconded by Sasse the meeting was adjourned at 7:43 PM.
