38 Special Meeting July 21, 2026 A Special Meeting of the Marilla Town Board was held Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Marilla Town Hall, 1740 Two Rod Road, Marilla, New York 14102. Earl Gingerich Jr., Supervisor Brian Nolan, Councilwoman Matthew Dolegowski, Councilman Randy Reichert, Councilman Absent: Anthony Sebastiano, Councilman Supervisor Gingerich called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm and the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. Motion: Councilman Reichert moved, seconded by Councilman Nolan to compensate the following Security Personnel (Total of 12) for services rendered on July 3 & 4, 2026 for the Marilla/Wales 250-year Anniversary event to be paid each $1,400 each. Motion Carried. Roll Call Vote: Councilman Dolegowski – Aye Councilman Reichert – Aye Councilman Nolan – Aye Councilman Sebastiano – Absent Supervisor Gingerich – Aye Motion Carried. TOWN OF MARILLA RESOLUTION APPOINTING TEMPORARY TOWN CONSTABLES FOR THE TOWN OF MARILLA 250TH AMERICA CELEBRATION WHEREAS the Town of Marilla will host its 250th America Celebration on July 3, 4, and 5, 2026, which is expected to attract a significant number of residents and visitors; and WHEREAS the Town Board recognizes the need to provide for the safety, security, and orderly conduct of the event, crowd management, and enforcement of applicable local laws and regulations; and WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of New York State Town Law, the Town Board is authorized to appoint Town Constables as necessary for the preservation of public peace and protection of people and property within the Town; and WHEREAS the Town Board finds it necessary and in the best interests of the Town to appoint temporary Town Constables for the duration of the Town of Marilla 250th America Celebration; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Marilla hereby appoints the following individuals as Temporary Town Constables for the period commencing July 2, 2026, and ending July 6, 2026: 1. Peter John Szklanka 2. Eugene Levy Jr. 3. Joseph Peter Vaccarella 4. Thomas B Colvin 5. Timothy J Wood 6. Jeffrey R Wood 7. Steven Anton Charles Baker 8. Matthew John Fuentes BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT such Temporary Town Constables shall perform duties as directed by the Town Supervisor or their designee and shall assist with crowd management, preservation of public order, public safety, and other duties related to the Town of Marilla 250th America Celebration; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT these appointments shall automatically expire at 11:59 p.m. on July 6, 2026, unless terminated earlier by action of the Town Board; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to take all actions necessary to effectuate these appointments.
