confirm if he can get the S.W.A.T. team or Bomb Truck or the Motorcycles to be there.
Supervisor Gingerich Jr. stated he might call the Sheriff directly. It would be nice as we will

Report of Town Officials
Town Assessor Chuck Manganaro stated that Grievance Day was May 28, 2026, no residents came in, the
final roll will be filed with Erie County on July 1, 2026, and posted in the local newspaper. Final value for
the Solar projects has not been finalized as the construction has not been completed yet. The values do not
have to be done until March 1, 2027, that is if they have completed the construction. Also, there is a STAR
class that is available to the public on July 7, 2026, 1:30-4:30pm at the Community/Senior Center located
at 230 Martin Road, Lackawanna, NY 14218.
Bill Blarr from the Marilla Fire Company stated the Fire Company voted on some new By-Laws to attract
new members (Reserve member, Duty hours program or Administrative only classification. The Fire
Company also wants to go on record that they fully support every Law Enforcement Agency (Local, State,
Federal Agency). Anything they need from us we can provide them we shall provide.

Open Board Presentations
Marilla Resident asked if there were any updates on the illegal people that were working at the Solar
project.
Supervisor Gingerich Jr. stated the news covered pretty much everything we know. They detained 15
people, apparently, they are here illegally and are in the process of being removed from the country.
I’m sure they will be looking at that employer to check on the documentation that was provided for
them to be working in the country. We know they are from 4 different countries. This information was
directly from Department of Homeland Security. At no time do we believe the residents of Marilla
were not in any harm and I am sure the Deputy can agree with that as well. I know that the town has
taken some criticism because we did not know about it, but we should not know about it. The ultimate
surprise makes the community the safest. Law Enforcement cannot take the chance of a leak that
would jeopardize the case. The Town of Marilla fully supports all Law Enforcement Agencies. Always
call the Town Hall with any questions you may have, and we will answer them as honestly as possible.
Very proud of the Deputy that is here and will let the Sheriff’s Department know that.
Councilman Nolan Thanked the residents for coming to the meeting tonight and asking your questions
here instead of asking on Socal Media. It’s nice that someone came to ask the questions.
Chuck Manganaro stated the Marilla Veterans had a Hot Dog Social on May 1, 2026, to hopefully
recruit new members. Recruited 1 new member, he is 77 years old. We can’t seem to get any younger
members to join. We were able to get all the Flags placed in the cemeteries with the help of Ron and
others. We also assembled roadside for Linda Transki as she came through to show her our support
and to Thank her for everything she does for Honor Flight. We had 9 veterans show up and other town
people show up.
Deputy Malican stated the month of May the Sheriff’s handled 125 calls, 32 traffic and 6 accidents
with 1 injury.
Motion: Councilman Sebastiano moved, seconded by Councilman Nolan to approve the claims
previously audited by the Town Board.
