PUBLIC EXPRESSION: Megan Comerford, 97 Church Street, wanted to report her concerns with a
camera mounted on a no parking sign on her street, 12’ above the ground and pointed toward her house.
After calling the Village police and a DOT contractor listed on a sticker on the camera, Ms. Comerford
finally got in touch with the DOT office that oversees the traffic cameras. The representative told her it
was a low- resolution camera, strictly used to monitor vehicle and pedestrian usage on the street. Ms.
Comerford expressed her discomfort with a camera so close to her house, and told them she and her
husband felt their safety was in jeopardy and did not feel safe staying in their home. She also reported that
the camera has since been removed.
