SENIOR CENTER ADVISORY MEETING MINUTES West Seneca Senior Center 4620 Seneca St West Seneca, NY 14224 Date: 1/13/2026 Time: 6:22pm IN ATTENDANCE Kelsey Lignos, Jeff Piekarec, Georgi Busse, Lydia Ciminelli, Kris Baron, Marilyn Stephens, Nancy Miloff APPROVAL OF MINUTES The Minutes were approved for the November 2025 meeting. Kris Baron motioned to approve; Marilyn Stephens seconded the results, motion carried, approved 5-0. AGENDA ITEMS • Intro to Board Members: All board members introduced self and how many years on board while welcoming new board member Nancy Miloff. • Select Chairperson: 3 year appointment max, responsible for running meeting, call to order. Lydia Ciminelli agreed to act as Chairperson. Motioned by Kris, Seconded by Marilyn, motion carried, approved 5-0. • Select Secretary: Recording of minutes Secretary. Georgi Busse agreed to act as Secretary. Motioned by Kris, Seconded by Lydia. Motion carried, approved 5-0 • Approve 2026 Meeting Dates: o Tuesday, January 13th 2026 o Tuesday March 17th 2026 (changed from the 10th) o Tuesday, May 12th 2026 o Tuesday, July 21st 2026 (changed from the 14th) o Tuesday, September 15th 2026 (changed from the 8th) o Tuesday, November 17th 2026 (changed from the 10th) • Update on 2025 Budget: Kelsey discussed the budget for 2025. Lindsay Lorigo Grant has been assisting with purchasing replacement supplies for activities. Revenue for 2025 has exceeded 2024’s Revenue. • Update on 2025 Membership: Kelsey and Georgi discussed membership continuing to grow. We are getting out of town Members still. The implementation of all non-residents has been in effect and we have not had too many complaints, we have over 100 non residents paid so far. • Upcoming Events: Kelsey provided update on all events happening in January and part of February including, AARP taxes, HEAP outreach, 2 dances, Staying Active in the Winter Months presentation, Make a Wish card making, Fall Prevention, Matter of Balance from Senior Services. • 2026 Grants: West Seneca Senior Center was approved for the CDBG Grant worth $150,000. This grant will contribute in the renovations of the Senior Center including new flooring, new senior van, hvac components, new sidewalk along front entry, new entry doors. • Public Comment: None ANNOUNCEMENTS None NEXT MEETING 3/17/26– West Seneca Senior Center 6:15pm.
