TO: Honorable Town Board FROM: Jason Foote, Town Engineer DATE: August 24, 2026 SUBJECT: Town Engineer re Cedar Ridge Drive water pressure update Requested Action: The Town Engineering Department has completed its review of the water pressure concerns reported by several residents in the Cedar Ridge Drive area. Attached is a memorandum summarizing our evaluation and outlining six alternatives that were considered for addressing the localized low-pressure concerns. As part of the review, the Town coordinated with the Erie County Water Authority (ECWA), evaluated system elevations and hydraulic conditions, and considered constructibility for each alternative. A total of six alternatives were evaluated, ranging from modifications to the existing water distribution system and centralized improvements to individual residential booster pump systems. Each alternative was reviewed with consideration given to its potential effectiveness, capital cost, long-term operation and maintenance requirements, and potential impacts on the overall water system. A review of each of the six alternatives, including the advantages and disadvantages of each, will be presented and discussed at the Town Board meeting.
