TO: Honorable Town Board FROM: Brian Adams, Highway Superintendent DATE: August 24, 2026 SUBJECT: Highway Superintendent Adams re Purchase of software and equipment - Ice Rink Requested Action: Please allow the Highway Superintendent to execute the attached service contract with Stark Tech (DBA U&S Services) in the amount of $52,475.00, pursuant to State Contract PT69752. The scope of work includes the Base Bid, Alternate #1, and Alternate #2 Add-On outlined in the attached quote. The project will provide for the update and installation of a new chiller plant control and monitoring system, including a backup control system, for the ice rink. The existing control system is aging, complex, and increasingly unreliable, making troubleshooting and maintenance difficult. Upgrading the system will be more efficient and is imperative to ensure reliable operation and proper monitoring of the facility's equipment. Funding is available in budget line 01714200.50445.
