LEGAL NOTICE TOWN OF BOSTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – LOCAL LAW REGARDING THE TAX LEVY LIMIT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to resolution of the Town Board of the Town of Boston, NY, a public hearing will be held at the Boston Town Hall, 8500 Boston State Road, at 7:40 PM Eastern Prevailing Time, on October 21, 2026 for the purpose of considering the Proposed Local Law which, if approved, would allow the real property tax levy in the 2027 Town Budget to exceed the tax levy limit pursuant to General Municipal Law Section 3-c(5). This Local Law is drafted due to the water projects occurring throughout Town and the upcoming increases to debt service. Copies of the proposed local law are available for review in the office of the Town Clerk during regular office hours.
