DRAFT Chairman Ms. Rood: We were reviewing what was submitted. Just as a reminder from our planning consultant Sara DesJardins petition # 655 James Tatford is requesting an area variance from a pole barn at 7023 Sunset Lane. This action is classified as a type 2 action and therefore is not subject to review under SEQR. Unfortunately, we did not have colored copies. Ours were in black and white and the little drawing you put together for us that you gave to Shawn came out as black on everything. It was very hard to figure out what was what. I would ask you to step forward and tell us what the French drain was with the single thin red line. It is going to be 3ft deep and 87 ft long, that will flow and stop three feet approximately 3ft short of the ditch on Sunset Lane. At the top of the French drain I am going to have a four-inch overflow pipe. So anything that comes up would then run the length of bridge. This would be the gap between the three feet to put it into the ditch on the overflow. Now according to Google Map, that trench should hold 2,500 gallons. This would be 2- 1/2 inches of rain an hour on the building. Water comes in from the property next door. I also still have an existing drain on the western side of the building. There is a three-inch pipe already currently there from my garage and the middle of the property that is already tied into existing system. Chairman Ms. Rood: is a 4 inch or a three? Because here it says it is a four-inch pipe Mr. Tatford: It is a four-inch pipe. Chairman Ms. Rood: So, you are draining to the ditch in front of your house? Mr. Tatford: No, it is draining into the eastern side of the property and the back of the building and the French drain toward the existing 4-inch rain. Ms. Pryor: I do not see any letters. Mr. Tatford: I have a couple. Chairman Ms. Rood: He had letters. Mr. Tatford: Basically, the two eastern sides that are right next to the French drain that would drain in the back corner. I am going to run a pipe across the back and that will drain into it. The front western drain. Chairman Ms. Rood: She goes over the map with Mr. Tatford. They both went over the map, showing where this pipe goes and where the drain will be. You will be directing it to the ditch in front of your house down the street where the water will go. Mr. Tatford: I am not sure exactly what dirt is there but hopefully a lot of that water will perforate into the existing ground. Chairman Ms. Rood: You have not done a test or anything or a plug taken to find out what it is? Clay? Mr. Tatford: I was in the dirt earlier and it was dark and gravel mix. Chairman Ms. Rood: Do these squiggles lines mean anything?
