REGULAR BOARD MEETING TOWN HALL
SEPTEMBER 2, 2026 7:30 P.M.
County have been referred to the EPA for additional investigation, with 4
properties recommended for voluntary temporary relocation.
Unpaid Water Bills: Reported that the Erie County Water Authority
conducted an audit resulting in 135 parcels in the Town of Boston being
identified with outstanding water balances, totaling approximately $91,000.
This amount must be incorporated into the Town budget and counts against
the tax cap, which the Supervisor indicated effectively pushes the Town to or
beyond its cap before any budget conversations regarding salaries, salt
costs, or other contractual obligations have begun. A resolution placing
these debts back onto the respective properties will be presented at one of
the next Town Board meetings. Expressed frustration at the lack of advance
notice from the Erie County Water Authority.
Holiday Lighting Project: Resident Jay Jackson, Supervisor, LaBella, and the
contractor met, and the project is underway. The contractor has obtained
state and county permits. Work will be visible along Boston State Road and
the public was asked to drive carefully around crew members. Upon
completion, all holiday decorations on Town poles will be NYSEG compliant,
  eliminating past compliance hurdles.
Meeting Schedule Change: A regular Town Board meeting will be held on
September 30th, and the meeting typically scheduled for October 7th will not
be held. Required media notifications will be issued.
Bank Anticipation Note (BAN): The Town will go to market the following
week for a Bank Anticipation Note totaling $4,675,000, which includes
$1,085,000 in new money for engineering, environmental, geotechnical, and
related studies required for the Water System Improvement Phase 2 project.

A motion was made by Supervisor Keding and was seconded by Councilwoman
Selby to adjourn the meeting at 8:01 p.m.
