Dear Affirmative Action Officer:

Erie County passed a local Fair Housing Law on May 22, 2018. As the Elected Official and/or Affirmative
Action Officer for your municipality, we are sending this letter to inform you of upcoming training
opportunities on the law. Details of the trainings are as follows:

Date: Thursday April 30th, 2026
Time: 10 a.m.
Location: Zoom Webinar
https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/6GnxRsXFTIeObr8It9YvCg

Date: Tuesday May 5th, 2026
Time: 2 p.m.
Location: Zoom Webinar
https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/EajAJg-RRxOQNWHrLGq5JQ

If you recently attended a Fair Housing training for your community, we still encourage you to attend one of
these upcoming trainings to learn about the law and how it effects the community you serve. As you know, in
order for Erie County Consortium municipalities to receive federal Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) funds from our department for eligible community projects, the Affirmative Action Officer must attend at
least one fair housing training session every three years. The training will be held through zoom. Please use
the above links for the session you plan on attending.

It is important that you attend one of the trainings if you are a newly appointed officer or have not attended a
training in three or more years. If this applies to you but you cannot attend either training listed above, please
contact me to make other arrangements. If you no longer serve as an Affirmative Action Officer, please
notify me so I can update our records.

Best Regards,

Jean Bennett
Senior Housing Specialist
