THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF NORTH COLLINS WAS HELD ON SATURDAY, JULY 25TH, 2026, AT 8:00AM IN THE NORTH COLLINS TOWN HALL, 10569 MAIN STREET, NORTH COLLINS, NEW YORK.PRIVATE PRESENT: Supervisor John Tobia Councilmen: Ellen M. Mathis Michael Ortiz Peter Robbins Vicki Kehr Town Clerk Lynn M. DiVincenzo Town Attorney Richard Schaus Highway Supt. David J. Winter - Excused Item 1. Supervisor John Tobia called the meeting to order at 8:00 am. MOTION by John Tobia, seconded by Ellen Mathis, to close the regular meeting and go into executive session to discuss contract issues and to invite Richard Schaus and Lynn DiVincenzo at 8 am. Carried MOTION by Mike Ortiz, seconded by Peter Robbins, to close the executive session and open the regular Business meeting at 8:41 am. John Tobia: We are here to discuss the garbage contract that was put out to bid. Jason Babcock: This garbage contract is one of the best that we have had. He understands things change; his concern is the Totes with people that have long driveways. Would there be issues about leaving them at the end of the driveway? A 50% increase seems excessive to maintain the current contract. Tony Dash: Waste Management will not bid on a manual pick-up. Peter Robbins: We get 60-70 items for bulk now, then we drop to 24-26 items a year. Do you offer stickers for an extra bulk item or extra garbage? Tony Dash said yes, we can get that into the contract. Garbage stickers are between $2-$5 and $10 for bulk items. He will get the price. There were no more questions John Tobia: Asked if we could change the meeting from August 10th to August 3rd at 6 PM; he will be out of town for his dad's funeral. MOTION by Mike Ortiz, seconded by Ellen Mathis, to switch the meeting to August 3rd at 6 pm. Carried. ADJOURNMENT. Motion to adjourn at 9:50 am by Mike Ortiz. Second: Peter Robbins. Carried.
