CITY OF LACKAWANNA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held by the City of Lackawanna on October 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 2838 South Park Avenue, Lackawanna, New York, regarding the use of Federal Community Development funds in the City of Lackawanna. The City of Lackawanna is eligible for a Federal Community Development Grant under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. The purpose of this Public Hearing is to provide citizens with an opportunity to express community development needs and to discuss possible projects that would benefit the City of Lackawanna. Citizens are encouraged to attend the Public Hearing to make their views known and/or to submit written proposals concerning the City's selection of potential projects for possible funding through the Federal Community Development Grant Program. The Public Hearing will also include a review of prior Community Development projects and expenditures, as well as a discussion of eligible activities. The meeting room is wheelchair accessible.
