Motion by Friend; seconded by Zambron to adopt minutes of the Planning and Development Board Meeting on May 27, 2026 as written. Yeas: Smith, Buckner, Dubel, Friend, Zambron Carried 5-0 Communication from Planning and Development Board Applicants: 1. Site Plan Approval / SEQR Negative Declaration – 2303 Hamburg Turnpike – Matt Riggi / Sweet Life LLC. Applicant is requesting a negative declaration for a state environmental quality review (SEQR) and site plan approval to permit installation of a new 72-foot by 450-foot sugar storage facility within the Bethlehem Redevelopment Area (BRA) Zone. Motion by Friend; seconded by Dubel to open floor to public comment. Yeas: Smith, Buckner, Dubel, Friend, Zambron Carried 5-0 Public comment: Eric Burroughs of Ferrous Manufacturing Inc., located at 1951 Hamburg Turnpike Building 30, spoke. Discussion focused on drainage, standing water, retention ponds, pot holes, and remnants of raw product mixing into the aforementioned areas. Motion by Zambron; seconded by Dubel to close floor to public comment. Yeas: Smith, Buckner, Dubel, Friend, Zambron Carried 5-0 Motion by Friend; seconded by Zambron to approve SEQR Negative Declaration with the following Board condition: update the responses to question 17 (A) & (B) regarding storm water discharge in the Short Environmental Assessment Form Part 1 – Project Information – from “no” to “yes”.
