LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PRELIMINARY BUDGET TOWN OF WALES – 2027 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Preliminary Budget for the Town of Wales, Erie County, New York for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2027 has been completed and filed in the Office of the Town Clerk of said Town at 12345 Big Tree Road, Wales Center, New York, where it is available for inspection by any interested persons during regular business hours. FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN, that the Town Board of Wales will meet and review said Preliminary Budget and hold a Public Hearing at the South Wales Court House on Emery Road, South Wales, NY at 7:00 pm on the 27th day of October 2026 and that at such hearing citizens of the Town of Wales will be given an opportunity to provide oral or written comments on the entire budget. A summary of said budget is as follows: FUND APPROPRIATION AMT TO BE RAISED BY TAX General $1,033,410 0 Highway $901,705 $84,000 Special Districts Lighting District #1 $12,000 $11,869 Fire Protection $342,678 $337,580 Refuse cost per unit is $268.51 AND, FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN, pursuant to Section 108 of the Town Law that the following are the proposed salaries of the elected officials of this Town: Supervisor $38,483 Town Clerk $65,434 Councilmembers (4) each $8,255 Highway Superintendent $71,472 Justice (2) each $14,426 By order of the Town Board of the Town of Wales Dated: October 13th 2026
