TO: Honorable Town Board FROM: Megan Wnek, Director of Finance DATE: March 9, 2026 SUBJECT: Director of Finance re 2025 Budget amendment - Police Department Requested Action: Kindly authorize the following 2025 budget amendment for the use of revenue from the 2025 NYS STOP DWI proceeds awarded to the Police Department RESOLUTION: WHEREAS, the Town of West Seneca Police were reimbursed $2,611.69 by the NYS Stop-DWI Foundation for DRE overtime costs incurred; and WHEREAS, the payments received from the NYS Stop-DWI Foundation in the amount of $2,611.69 will be recognized as revenue in the General Fund as State Aid – DWI Refunds, account 01000100.43090: NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board does hereby authorize the 2025 budget amendment to increase State Aid – DWI Refunds, account 01000100.43090 by $2,611.69 for the receipt of grant proceeds. Police – Overtime, account 01312000.50199 will also be increased by $2,611.69 for DRE Overtime costs.
