TO: Honorable Town Board FROM: Brian Cosgrove, Chief of Police DATE: March 23, 2026 SUBJECT: Chief Cosgrove re Attendance of Firearms Instructors and SWAT Members at NYTOA Conference Requested Action: Please authorize four (4) officers (TBA) and two (2) SWAT team members to attend the New York State Tactical Officers training conference, April 13 through April 17, 2026 in Verona, New York. This is an annual training event that our officers have routinely attended in the past, and will not exceed a cost of $6,308.00. There are sufficient funds budgeted in the 2026 Police Training line (01312000.50459) to cover this expense. Should you have any questions pertaining to this, please do not hesitate to call me.
