telephone call from any person within the district of a fire within the district, such department shall respond and attend upon the fire without delay with one or more companies and with suitable ladder, pumping and hose apparatus of the party of the second part; upon arriving at the scene of the fire, the firemen of the party of the second part attending shall proceed diligently and in every way reasonably suggested to the extinguishments of the fire and the saving life and property therewith. The responsibility for fire protection by the VILLAGE OF GOWANDA shall provide protection to all areas shown on the attached diagram marked “Schedule A”. 2. In consideration of furnishing aid and the use of its apparatus as aforesaid, the party of the second part shall receive the annual compensation over the next three-year period in the amounts of: 2027 - $22,693.00 - 2% Increase 2028 - $23,147.00 - 2% Increase 2029 - $23,610.00 - 2 % Increase 3. Ail monies to be paid under any provision of this Agreement shall be a charge upon the said Fire Protection District to be assessed and levied upon the taxable property in said District and collected with the Town taxes. 4. Members of the fire department of the party of the second part, while engaged in the performance of their duties in answering, attending upon or returning from any call provided for by this contract shall have the same rights, privileges and immunities as in performing the same in the Village of Gowanda, New York 5. This Agreement shall begin on January 1, 2027 and run for a period of three years until December 31, 2029. The contracting parties shall notify the other in writing on or before the 20" day of August 2029 if they wish to terminate or revise the terms of this Agreement. IN WITNESS WHEREOPF, the parties have duly executed and delivered this Agreement the day and year above mentioned.
