Council Meeting on April 20, 2026 and that the Council authorize the Mayor to sign the same
acceptance letter confirming the renewal.
As your Honorable Body is aware, UCS has rented the Lackawanna City Court space in City Hall
for decades via a Lease Agreement. Pursuant to the Agreement, UCS reimburses the City for performing
cleaning services and minor repairs to the leased space. This renewal letter sets the renewal period for
an additional five-year contract term. The renewal letter does not include any new or additional terms,
other than a budget-line item for architectural fee reimbursement for potential plans for a revised
Lackawanna City Court space.
It is anticipated that the City will receive a subsequent annual renewal letter in early May
following the approval for the New York State Budget.
