Town of Hamburg Planning Board Minutes March 18, 2026

The Planning Board asked Mr. Rogers to return to the April 1st Planning Board meeting
with precedent examples of EV charging stations requirements, and other
recommendations.

Liza Acanfora- Requesting Sketch Plan Direction on a proposal for a childcare
center to be located at 4090 Jeffrey Blvd

Liza Acanfora appeared on behalf of the project.

Ms. Acanfora is currently in the preliminary phase of development for opening a
childcare center that consists of six classrooms and other standardized needs, per the
Office of Child and Family Services, that will have an occupancy of 66 children starting
at age six weeks, and twelve staff members (six teachers and six teacher assistants).

At this point in time, she is looking for some guidance and comments from the Planning
Board. Ms. Acanfora provided different views and angles of the project’s exterior. On
the plan there are identified the following areas: drop-off/pick up location, playground,
staff parking, guest parking, as well as the exit and entrance.

Regarding the outdoor playground, it will be fenced in for use during business hours
(7am-6pm) and there will be no significant exterior lighting added.

Mr. Rogers explained that 4090 Jeffrey Blvd is zoned M-2 and as such childcare centers
are an allowed use, however they require a special use permit from the Planning Board.

Board:
