Town Board of the Town of Hamburg September 28, 2026 Meeting 4.26. Waterkeeper Foster Brook Monitoring WHEREAS, the Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper has approached the Town of Hamburg with a request to install monitoring equipment at the Hoover Road crossing of Foster Brook; and WHEREAS, the monitoring is being done across the region to learn more about localized flooding and to build upon prior scientific knowledge in hopes to improve coastal resiliency; and WHEREAS, the monitoring period will be 5 years and Waterkeeper will handle installation, maintenance and removal; and WHEREAS, there will be no effort or cost to the Town and the Legal and Engineering Departments have worked with Waterkeeper to prepare an agreement for the monitoring including insurance requirements. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes the Supervisor to sign the agreement with Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper.
