Town Board of the Town of Hamburg July 13, 2026 Meeting 4.6. Unsafe structure at 5272 South Park Ave. WHEREAS, the Town of Hamburg Code Chapter 80 references the procedure for unsafe buildings in the Town of Hamburg, and, WHEREAS, the Supervising Code Enforcement Officer of the Town of Hamburg made a formal inspection of the property located at 5272 South Park Ave. Hamburg, NY (SBL 171.14-1-2.1) and deemed the attached chapel and detached greenhouse structures unsafe, and, WHEREAS, the Supervising Code Enforcement officer provided the Town Board, in writing, a report of his findings and recommendations for demolition, and, WHEREAS, the Town Board has considered the report, and, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board finds the attached chapel and detached greenhouse structures located at 5272 South Park Ave. Hamburg, NY unsafe and orders their removal, and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes the Code Enforcement Department to advertise for demolition bids of said structures, and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Board designates the Supervising Code Enforcement Officer, an Assistant Code Enforcement Officer, the Town Attorney or Deputy Town Attorney, and the Code Enforcement liaison from the Town Board to schedule and hold a public hearing on the demolition of the structures, and, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that once demolition bids are received, the Town Board shall make proper notification to the property owner stating the public hearing date, time, place, and estimated costs for the demolition.
