Town Board of the Town of Hamburg June 8, 2026 Meeting 4.1. PROCLAMATION HONORING EARL KNAUSS WHEREAS, the Town of Hamburg is proud to recognize individuals whose dedication, compassion, and leadership strengthen the fabric of our community; and WHEREAS, Earl Knauss has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to service through his vision, leadership, and tireless efforts in establishing and sustaining the Farm to Family program in Hamburg, New York; and WHEREAS, the Farm to Family program has provided meaningful support to local families by improving access to fresh, nutritious food while also supporting local agriculture and fostering community connections; and WHEREAS, Earl Knauss’s initiative reflects the highest ideals of volunteerism, embodying generosity, innovation, and an unwavering dedication to improving the lives of others; and WHEREAS, in recognition of his outstanding service and enduring impact, Earl Knauss has been honored with the prestigious Rotary International “Service Above Self” Award, a distinction that celebrates individuals who exemplify selfless service and leadership in their communities; and WHEREAS, his efforts have not only addressed critical needs within the Town of Hamburg but have also inspired others to contribute their time and talents toward the betterment of the community; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, that I, on behalf of the Town of Hamburg, do hereby honor and commend Earl Knauss for his remarkable contributions and extend our deepest gratitude for his continued dedication to serving others; and BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED, that all residents are encouraged to join in recognizing Earl Knauss for his exemplary service and the lasting positive impact he has made on the Town of Hamburg.
