Town Board of the Town of Hamburg March 23, 2026 Meeting 4.1. Proclamation Honoring Jessica Underberg Whereas, Jessica Underberg has demonstrated outstanding leadership and dedication to the Erie County Fair and the broader agricultural community through her role as Chief Executive Officer and Fair Manager since 2017; and Whereas, under her leadership, the Erie County Fair has continued to grow in excellence and reputation, earning 26 International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) awards in 2025 for achievements in agricultural programming, marketing, facilities, and competitive exhibits; and Whereas, Jessica’s commitment to innovation, tradition, and community engagement has strengthened one of Western New York’s most cherished institutions, ensuring its continued success for generations to come; and Whereas, on December 1, 2025, Jessica was inducted into the International Association of Fairs and Expositions Hall of Fame during the IAFE Convention and Trade Show in Denver, Colorado, receiving the organization’s highest honor; and Whereas, the IAFE Hall of Fame Award recognizes individuals whose distinguished careers exemplify exceptional leadership, unwavering commitment, and invaluable service to the fair industry; and Whereas, IAFE President and CEO David Grindle noted that Jessica embodies the spirits of dedication and excellence that advances the industry while preserving its proud traditions; and Whereas, Jessica’s accomplishments bring great pride to the Erie County Agricultural Society, the Erie County Fair, and the entire Western New York Community; and Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, that we do hereby recognize and honor Jessica Underberg for her remarkable achievements, her leadership, and her lasting contributions to the fair industry and the community; and Be It Further Resolved, that this proclamation stands as a tribute to their induction into the International Association of Fairs and Expositions Hall of Fame and in appreciation for her continued service, 3
