Town Board of the Town of Hamburg March 9, 2026 Meeting 4.6. Authorization for Highway Department on Drainage WHEREAS, per New York Town Law 64.11-a., the Highway Department requires a Town Board resolution to authorize them to perform drainage work outside the public right-of-way; and WHEREAS, the Town has drainage easements and Town properties that require improvement of drainage features for the benefit of town property and infrastructure and to protect property within the town from flooding and the Town will see cost savings by using Town forces to address these issues. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes the Highway Department to perform work outside of the public right-of-way for drainage improvements on an as-needed basis and as coordinated with the Engineering Department. 9
