AUDIENCE I:

Evan Roden, Town resident, commented on proposed Local Law 5-2026
regarding solar energy systems. He objected to restrictions on utility-scale solar,
said the proposal would limit farmers’ use of their land, and argued that overly
restrictive local regulations could be overridden by the state for larger projects.
Supervisor Snyder indicated that with the recent passing of the 2025
Comprehensive Plan, the board will be revisiting solar.

Jackie Hienrich, Town resident, spoke about the requested road study for
Snyder Road and urged that Luther and Mitchell Roads also be included. She
stated that traffic speeds remain a safety concern for residents, pedestrians,
bicyclists, and animals, and argued that a 35 mph limit would be more
appropriate than 40 mph.
