I respectfully request the Town Board enter into a contract to provide the Town of Colden with
Dog Control Services. The Town of Colden has agreed to pay the Town of Aurora $15,000 for the
services. In addition, all pickup fees and kennel fees incurred in the Town of Colden will be paid
directly to the Town of Aurora. Colden will continue to manage all licensing within their town.

Since the Town of Colden is losing their current Private Dog Control Service, they would like to
have this effective as soon as possible. I told them that we could help them through the Highway
shared setvices agreement temporarily, but they would have to pay the prorated amount of $1,250
per month until an annual contract could be signed effective Januaty 1, 2027.

This is the same agreement the Town of Holland has with the Town of Aurora, and the price is
based on the similarities of Town size. The same expenses will be laid out in the budget process as
was done for the Towns of Holland and Sardinia which will be appropriations in the Dog Control
Director, Dog Control Labor, Fuel, and Supplies. We would like the additional revenue realized to
be applied to the Dog Control Capitol Resetve Fund which is saving towatds the purchase of a new
Dog Truck.

Since we have already analyzed the results of the current Consolidation with the Towns of Holland
and Colden and found that it has been very beneficial to the Taxpayers of the Town of Aurora it is
my recommendation we approve of the additional consolidation of the Town of Colden.

Sincerely,

  PO earn
