For all grocery and personal shopping trips, the limit is 4 bags per rider, and the rider must be able to bring items from the van to their home. We do allow a client’s foldable grocery cart on van to aid clients in the transfer of items from van to their home. The following items each count toward the 4-bag limit: • Packages of paper towels, toilet paper and tissues; • Packs of soda-pop or water; • Items that come in a large box that would not fit in grocery bag; If you have requested a ride and will be calling for your return ride home, we ask that you please call 716-858-7433 to alert our dispatchers that you are ready. If you call a driver directly for a return trip and we do not know about it, we will not be able to assist you. Drivers have been directed not to give out their personal telephone numbers to riders as a safety precaution for both our riders and drivers. Riders that frequently abuse the 4-bag limit, are not ready at their requested pickup times, cancel the day of trip without notifying dispatch, or ask drivers to make additional stops between destinations may have their ability to use transportation services suspended or revoked. Out of respect for our dispatchers, drivers, and other riders, we ask you to adhere to the guidelines stated above. Along with this letter we have enclosed our Going Places Transportation Program Brochure. Please review to see what days of the week and hours of operation pertain to where you live. This service is donation based, and the suggested donation of $8 per way will help offset the costs of the agency who serves you that day. Thank you so much for registering for our service and we look forward to serving you!
