You are receiving this letter to inform you that your Going Places Transportation application has been approved and you are able to start booking trips! We would just like to outline some of our policies regarding scheduling trips and ridership. Our transportation services are curb-to-curb, and drivers are not allowed to enter your home under any circumstances. We ask that you be ready for your pickup 15 minutes prior to the time requested, but also note our pickup window is 15 minutes before and after your requested pickup time. Being ready for pickup 15 minutes early helps to make sure you are ready to go when the van arrives and keeps everyone’s trip requests on time. Drivers are only permitted to take you to your requested destination and from your requested destination home. We ask you to keep your daily trip requests to one location. When scheduling a medical trip, you can schedule a ride two (2) weeks in advance of known dates of medical appointments. Medical trips are our top priority, and we ask you to call two weeks in advance to ensure the highest likelihood that we can accommodate these requests. We will do our best to accommodate any trips requested less than 2 weeks in advance, but there are no guarantees, as the time slot being requested may have been filled. For all other trips, including grocery and personal shopping, personal errands, employment or training, and social and recreational activities, you may request as early as one (1) week prior to the needed date. Like medical appointments, we encourage you to call as close to one week in advance as possible so that you have the best chance of obtaining an appointment.
