Job Posting GIS Specialist  NIG  et

WHEREAS, the Planning Department is in need of specialized assistance to update record keeping; and

WHEREAS, utilizing the existing GIS system “diamond maps”, will minimize costs, provide greater
communication between departments, and increase efficiency; and

WHEREAS, technical expertise and manhours are needed to convert the existing system and paper records;
and

WHEREAS, there was money allocated in the 2026 budget for this purpose.

NOW, THEREFORE be it

RESOLVED, that the Town Board does hereby approve the posting for a temporary, part time “GIS
specialist” for an estimated 6 month period as recommended by the Director of Community Development.
