TOWN OF ORCHARD PARK RESOLUTION TO APPOINT CHIEF OF POLICE WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Orchard Park is empowered to appoint a Chief of Police for the Town Police Department pursuant to applicable New York State law and local enactments WHEREAS, the Town Board has conducted an extensive review and desires to appoint Brendan O’Hara as Chief of Police. NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, that Brendan O’ Hara is hereby appointed to the position of Chief of Police for the Town of Orchard Park, effective June 6, 2026; and be it further RESOLVED, that the base 2026 annual salary for the Chief of Police shall be One Hundred Seventy Two Thousand Dollars ($172,000.00); and be it further RESOLVED, that the Chief of Police shall follow the benefits schedule in the current Command Officers Agreement including longevity pay in the amount of seven percent (7%) of base salary consistent with applicable Town policies, collective bargaining agreements, or other governing provisions regarding longevity compensation for employees; and be it further RESOLVED, that all other terms and conditions of employment shall be in accordance with the Town’s policies, any applicable collective bargaining agreement, and resolutions of the Town Board.
