WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has recommended the promotion of Alex P. Vranic from the position of
Police Officer to the position of Lieutenant; and

WHEREAS, the appointment is to be made from the certified eligible list established by the Erie County
Department of Personnel in accordance with the New York State Civil Service Law.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED, that the Town Board does hereby promote Police Officer Alex P. Vranic to the Position of
Patrol Lieutenant, (probationary) effective July 18, 2026, with a rate of pay as defined in the Collective
Bargaining Agreement as recommended by the Chief of Police.
