WHEREAS,  a vacancy exists in the position of Dog Control Officer 1 (Part-Time); and

WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has recommended the appointment of Thomas Slomka to fill
said position; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Board does hereby appoint Thomas
Slomka to the position of Dog Control Officer 1, Part Time (Probationary), effective August 8th,
2026, White Collar Union Range 0008, step “First Year” per the recommendation of the Chief of
Police.
