VILLAGE ATTORNEY REPORT
o Paul Weiss reported on the following
o Advised CEO Baker and Superintendent Boberg on many contracts/cases
o In addition, the new judge strictly follows the office of court administration judicial guidelines, and this
will result in his office preparing many more tickets where it used to be done out of the judges’ office.

TRUSTEE NOTES & PROJECT REPORTS
  Trustee Schuster
  o Ran the Springville Stampede – 5K.
o She has been in meetings with operating engineers in relation to data centers – it may be up to each municipality to
come up with their own guidelines regarding noise level/size/electric usage – a moratorium is very important for this
village because it’s probably not a good fit for the Village.
o She brought along the Open Meeting Law document which she will share with the other board members.
  Trustee Lipka
o Believe the work sessions are important and should be scheduled and should take place in the conference room, as
  well as the executive sessions.
o Attended the Town of Concord (TOC) board meeting on Thursday and there was a time when the TOC and Village
of Springville (VOS) had dual work sessions and she thinks those should be brought back. TOC is very happy that
someone from the VOS board will attend.
o The TOC is looking to replace windows which Trustee Baker will report on.
o The Red Cross mobile unit will be on Wednesday June 17 from 1-6 at Senior Center.
o Food Distribution will be on June 19 at 11 at the Senior Center.
  Trustee Roberts – via email
o SGI Summer Food Service Program - This program received a $5,000 grant from Share Our Strength's No Kid
Hungry campaign and was able to add Colden Elementary in addition to Springville Middle School as pick up sites
for this program. You can register on the SGI website or via the QR codes posted on different Facebook pages and
  groups.
o I attended the SYI board meeting this past week.
  - They are trying to get involved with the Kids Lead the Way WNY program. It is a board of
representatives consisting entirely of middle school students that sets after school programs and awards
grants as a functioning and legitimate board of representatives for children in this area. This program
promotes the education and involvement of the youth into government and governing. They are looking for
middle school-aged children to become involved from Springville.
  - They are also participating in the Give 716 event sponsored by the Buffalo Bills Foundation and the
  Buffalo Sabre’s Foundation.
  - Kevin Gasper Memorial Softball Tournament Fundraiser will be held Aug 1st at Concord Community
Park ("ConComm Park"). Registration is open and space is available for teams to join.
  - SYI Meat Raffle will be Oct 17th
o Springville has been chosen to host the Little League District 2 Tournament. This is the start of the Little League
World Series tournament that kicks off in each local area and concludes in August in Williamsport, PA as a
nationally televised event. Games will start on Tuesday, June 23rd and run every other day until a winner is
determined. Best of luck to the young Athletes from Springville that are proudly representing our community!
  Trustee Baker
o Attended the Houghton training and received the 4 hours mandated training for planning & zoning. It would be a
good idea to let all board members know about this mandated training.
o Phil from TOC reached out about any grants available to replace the windows in historic districts and reached out to
Alma Brown. It was brought to their attention that there are tax credits for people to save barns.
  Mayor Belscher
