August 12, 2026 TOWN OF EDEN, NEW YORK NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Pursuant to resolution of the Town Board of the Town of Eden, New York, notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Eden Town Board in the Eden Town Hall, 2795 East Church Street, Eden, New York on the 12th day of August, 2026 at 6:45 P.M. Local Time, for a Local Law authorizing participation in Public Meetings by certain Town officials via videoconferencing, as authorized by Public Officers Law Section 103-a. Copies of the proposed local law are available for review at edenny.gov or in the office of the Town Clerk. All interested parties will be given an opportunity to be heard. #165-2026: MOTION was made by Supervisor Ventry to open the Public Hearing regarding a Local Law authorizing participation in Public Meetings by certain Town officials via videoconferencing, as authorized by Public Officers Law Section 103-a; seconded by Councilmember Wilhelm; Ayes: All; Opposed: None; Abstain: None; Motion carried. • No public comment. #166-2026: MOTION was made by Supervisor Ventry to close the Public Hearing and return to the Regular Board meeting; seconded by Councilmember Wilhelm; Ayes: All; Opposed: None; Abstain: None; Motion carried. New and Unfinished Business: 1. Wepax Water Rate: Proposed Change to Wepax Road Water Rates As Wepax Road must sustain their own district I am requesting an increase to the Wepax Water Rates effective immediately. Erie County Water rates have increased over the past year to the rate that is listed below. In addition, there is an anticipated increase in costs from the changeover from the Village of Farnham to the Village of Angola for reading meters and collecting water samples. I request the Wepax Water rates be as follows: Minimum Flat Charge change from $81.00 to $90.00 per unit. Water Rate Change from $3.70 per 1,000 gallons to $4.37 per 1,000 gallons. #167-2026: MOTION was made by Supervisor Ventry to approve the increase in Wepax Rd. Smoking Policy: Town of Eden Policy Brief: Smoke-Free Vehicles & Property Policy 1. Purpose The Town of Eden is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and clean environment for all employees, residents, and visitors. In accordance with applicable state laws and public health recommendations, this policy establishes rules regarding smoking and the use of tobacco products to reduce exposure to secondhand smoke, lower fire risks, and maintain town facilities and equipment. 2.
