APRIL 6, 2026

10. MOTION by Trustee Hackathorn, seconded Trustee Davis, to hold a public hearing on May 4, 2026
at 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall, 100 Main Street, regarding a proposed Local Law No. 2 of 2026, amending
Chapter 229 Vehicles and Traffic, Section §229-50 Schedule XV: No Standing by adding no standing on
the south side of Prospect Avenue from Buffalo Street to Division Street. Copies of the proposed changes
will be available in the Clerk-Treasurer's office at Village Hall, beginning Friday, April 17, 2026.

STAFF REPORTS:

Recreation Dept.: Recreation Leader Jacie Schmid thanked everyone for making the Village Easter Egg
Hunt a success last weekend. Jacie also announced that registration for the summer rec program begins
May 1st.

Police Dept.: Police Chief Rick Schara announced that the winter parking ban is now lifted and vehicles
can be parked on the street (in legal parking spaces) 24/7.

Department of Public Works: DPW Superintendent Marc Shuttleworth announced a special pickup will
be made for any items that need to be disposed due to the recent flooding. Residents that need this service
should call the DPW directly to make the arrangements

FURTHER PUBLIC EXPRESSION: Fred Rich said he recognizes the Village did not sit idly by and do
nothing after the last flood, but understanding that it is being communicated from the lines to the homes.
While finding solutions to drain the surface water from the streets, it may make it worse for the homes as
the water back flows into them. They do not want to have to disconnect their floor drains, but need some
sort of solution.

The Mayor thanked everyone once again and said they will get together with the engineers and keep people
informed of what they find/do.

The next Work Session of the Board with department heads and staff will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday,
April 20, 2026. Pending matters, including agenda items for the Regular Board Meeting, will be discussed.
The Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026. These
meetings are open to the press and public.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
