b. Such exemption shall cease upon the sale and/or transfer of such property any individual other than a surviving spouse who has not re-married provided that the veteran held this tax exemption at the time of his or her death. c. In the event that any portion of such property is not used exclusively for primary residential purposes by the veteran, but is used for any other purpose, such other portion shall be subject to taxation, and only the remaining portion used exclusively as the primary residence of the fully disabled veteran shall be subject to the exemption provided by this article. 109-31.3 Notice The Town Clerk of the Town of West Seneca shall notify the department of veterans' services within thirty days of such adoption; provided, however, that a failure to notify the department of veterans' services within thirty days shall not render this local law ineffective. 109-31.4 Effective Date This act shall take effect immediately and shall apply to assessment rolls based on taxable status dates occurring on and after October 1, 2026.
