ISSUES OF THE PUBLIC
The following comments and questions were received:

Lora Smolen, Cresthaven Drive:
- How many Flock cameras are in town
- Are the fixtures permanent or moveable
- What is the location of the cameras
- How long is data retained
- Is data entered into a national database or retained permanently in a national database

Chief Cosgrove provided the following information:
- A total of 10 cameras located as follows:
  - (1) Harlem Road south of Clinton Street
  - (2) Ridge Road near Route 219
  - (1) Potters Road near Potters Road Elementary School
  - (2) Union Road - one near McDonald's and one near Route 400
  - (3) Seneca Street - one near Constitution Avenue, one near Route 400, and one near the overpass
- The cameras are on fixed permanent poles with solar power
- Data is retained for 30 days on a cloud maintained by Flock and access is limited to the WSPD and
selected parties
- Data is no longer shared nationwide (as of a month ago) but is shared within NYS and/or a 500-mile
radius jurisdiction
- Not aware of any mistakes when plates are read and the purpose is not for writing traffic tickets
- The purpose of Flock is to read and document license plates and vehicle descriptions for criminal
investigations, including stolen cars and vandalism

Ms. Smolen expressed concern over the wrong people being accused of a crime based on Flock
data. Chief Cosgrove stated Flock is an investigative tool and an arrest would not be conducted solely
based on Flock data.

Ms. Smolen referred to Costco
