West Seneca Pilot
  Composting Program FARMER PIRATES
  COMPOST

In the December 2025 monthly check-in, we asked program participants to
share their thoughts on the program - and 52% of check in respondents took
the time to write a testimonial. Below are just a handful of those responses,
sharing why composting matters to West Seneca residents.

Composing is a necessity. We as humans already create so much waste. The
fact that we in West Seneca have this option to help the planet is huge. West
Seneca seems to pride itself on forward thinking, such as having electronic
recycling available to it's residents, and upcycling donation bins for items that
people no longer need, while also redicuing landfill waste. Continuing the
composting project, and expanding it, just seems like the natural next step in
bettering not only our community, but out small sliver of the world.

I love our town composting program because

I am not a "tree hugger," but I love the FACT that I am helping reduce the
tipping expense to the Town. I also purchase compost from Farmers Compost
Pirate and consider this the full circle experience. I encourage the Town of
West Seneca to expand the Farmers Compost project to reduce the
kitchen/table waste that is unnecessarily disposed of. -Ken M.
