TOWN OF BOSTON - RESOLUTION NO. 2026 – 31 ADDENDUM TO DOG SHELTERING AGREEMENT WITH EDEN VETERINARY CLINIC PLLC WHEREAS, pursuant to the New York State Agriculture and Markets Law, the Town of Boston is required to provide for the sheltering of seized and impounded dogs; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2025-22, the Town Board authorized the Town Supervisor to enter into a Dog Sheltering Agreement with Eden Veterinary Clinic PLLC; and WHEREAS, Eden Veterinary Clinic PLLC has now requested an additional Addendum to the Agreement to incorporate further requirements relating to intake procedures, medical treatment, vaccination protocols, and fee adjustments in response to evolving regulatory requirements under New York State Agriculture and Markets Law Article 26-C; and WHEREAS, the Town Board desires to continue contracting with Eden Veterinary Clinic PLLC for such services and to authorize the execution of said Addendum to the existing Agreement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Supervisor is hereby authorized, on behalf of the Town of Boston, to execute an Addendum to the Dog Sheltering Agreement with Eden Veterinary Clinic PLLC, subject to review and approval as to form by the Town Attorney; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Town Supervisor and/or such other Town officials as may be necessary are hereby authorized to take any and all actions necessary to effectuate the intent of this Resolution.
