  This Addendum (“Addendum”) is made as of the ___ day of __________, 2026, by and
between the Eden Veterinary Clinic, PLLC, with offices at 8217 North Main Street, Eden, New
York 14057 (hereinafter “SHELTER”), and the Town of Boston, a New York municipal
corporation with offices at 8500 Boston State Road, Boston, New York 14025 (hereinafter

  WHEREAS, the parties previously entered into a Dog Sheltering Agreement (the
“Agreement”) governing the care and housing of seized dogs; and
  WHEREAS, the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets has implemented
and continues to develop expanded regulatory requirements under Agriculture & Markets Law
Article 26-C, requiring enhanced intake protocols, medical oversight, and recordkeeping; and
  WHEREAS, the SHELTER has advised that compliance with such requirements
necessitates additional medical services, staffing, documentation, and increased operational costs;
and
  WHEREAS, the MUNICIPALITY desires to continue utilizing the SHELTER’s services
subject to reasonable and defined cost adjustments and authorization procedures;
  NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants herein, the parties agree as
follows:
  1. This Addendum is incorporated into and made part of the existing Agreement.
Except as modified herein, all other terms of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
This Addendum is intended to supplement, not replace, the existing Agreement.
  2. At the time any dog is delivered to the SHELTER, the Municipal Dog Control
Officer (DCO) shall perform an initial evaluation and examination of the animal and shall
document the condition of the dog at intake, including its apparent health condition, any visible
injuries or illness, and any relevant behavioral observations. Such documentation shall accompany
the animal and be provided to the SHELTER at the time of intake.
  3. The MUNICIPALITY hereby authorizes the SHELTER to perform the following
required intake services for each dog received, regardless of the duration of stay: a physical
examination at a cost of $65.00 per animal for routine or healthy animals and $80.00 per animal
for animals that are sick or medically compromised; and parasite prevention and deworming
utilizing Credelio Quattro at a cost of $50.00 per animal for dogs weighing between 0 and 100
