pounds, with animals over 100 pounds requiring two (2) doses. Each dose provides approximately thirty (30) days of coverage, and additional doses shall be administered and charged accordingly if the animal remains in the SHELTER beyond the initial 30-day period. 4. For any dog not redeemed during the statutory stray holding period, a Distemper/Parvovirus (DA2PP) vaccination shall be administered within twenty-four (24) to forty- eight (48) hours after the expiration of the five (5) day stray hold and prior to the release, transfer, or adoption of the dog, at a cost of $50.00 per animal. 5. Effective April 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026, the boarding fee shall be increased to $40.00 per dog per day. This adjusted fee reflects increased requirements relating to monitoring and documentation, sanitation and enrichment, and compliance with applicable regulatory obligations. 6. Any additional diagnostics, treatments, medications, procedures, or emergency care shall require prior approval of the MUNICIPAL Dog Control Officer (DCO), except in emergencies where immediate treatment is necessary to preserve the life or prevent undue suffering of the animal. All such services shall be billed at rates consistent with those charged to the general public. 7. The MUNICIPALITY shall remain financially responsible only for the statutory holding periods set forth in the original Agreement and for approved services under this Addendum. No charges beyond the statutory holding period shall be incurred without the express written authorization of the MUNICIPALITY. The SHELTER shall provide itemized invoices for all services rendered. 8. This Amendment shall take effect April 1, 2026 and remain in effect unless modified in writing by both parties, or the Agreement is terminated pursuant to its existing terms. 9. This Addendum, together with the original Agreement, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter herein.
