REGULAR BOARD MEETING TOWN HALL
APRIL 1, 2026 7:30 P.M.

Old business:

Supervisor Keding stated that there is no Old business.

Reports and Presentations:

Highway Superintendent Telaak reported on the following:
April 1st marked the first day of brush pickup, with every road in Town to
be completed once in April and again in May. Wood chips are available
for residents who fill out a release form. The department has been
scraping ditches and has some fill available from ditch scrapings.
Since the last meeting, there were incidents of illegal dumping including a
television on Shero Road and a tire on Boston Cross Road.
Yesterday's rainfall measured an inch and three-quarters, which caused
significant runoff due to already saturated ground conditions, few
culverts became plugged, though the Town experienced no serious issues.
The highway department had previously ordered salt that took over a
month to arrive from American Rock Salt, as Compass Minerals had
supply issues due to frozen lake conditions. The department plans to fill
their salt barn as much as possible before the contract expires at the end
of August, anticipating price increases for next year.
Signs installed on Rice Road going down to Feddick Road have resulted in
a month without accidents at the bottom of the hill.
Councilwoman Selby reported on the following:
It’s good to be back after being out for a bit. Appreciate the patience
from fellow Board members during my absence of the last couple Board
meetings. Thanked Rich Hawkins for organizing the Easter Egg Hunt,
scheduled for Saturday at 1 o'clock. It is always a great turnout and the
kids love it. The community has "paid their dues" this winter and looks
forward to spring activities including the fishing derby.

Councilman Penders reported on the following:
Fire departments, Length of Service Award Program points have been
updated for both Patchin and Boston fire companies. Through the
resolution tonight, Boston Emergency Squad has updated their schedule
of fees. The Planning Board will meet on April 14th, regarding future
minimum lot sizes in Town. The Zoning Board will meet tomorrow night
with three items on the agenda. Expressed appreciation for Town Clerk
Sandy Quinlan's extensive work, noting her presence during all meetings
and her busy schedule handling tax bills and payments.

Councilman Stephan reported on the following:
Addressing drainage issues in Town, have some plans put together for
trying to clean up a few of the drainage issues. Not too much can be done
until the ground dries and becomes workable.
