Dear Board Members, I am writing to respectfully request approval to attend the New York Association of Towns (NYAOT) Annual Conference in February 2026, along with authorization for all actual and necessary expenses associated with this event. Pursuant to General Municipal Law §77-b, the actual and necessary expenses of officers and employees of the Town attending the NYAOT Annual Meeting are proper town charges. The NYAOT Annual Conference offers a wide range of educational sessions covering many facets of local government, including legal updates, municipal operations, and best practices. Attendance at this conference is also a requirement for maintaining my Certified Town Official designation. Thank you for your consideration of this request.
