HIGHWAY AND PARKS
Highway Superintendent Wohlhueter reported the following:

  June Highway Report

  • Increase in Chips funding from $122,464.00 to $129,725.09 an increase of $7,261.09
  • We are continuing to address flood damage and shoulder washouts
  • Road grass cutting has begun
  • Price of Road Oil has gone up substantially to almost $4.50 a gallon. This is affecting the
cost of blacktop and sealing oil for all municipalities including us. We most likely will be
limiting the amount of oil and stonework planned to stay within budget.
  • The new utility/equipment trailer that was ordered and budget approved has been built
and we should be taking delivery of that soon.
  • Crump Rd at Center St will become a 4-way stop per Erie County effective June 29,
2026. An electronic sign board will be erected for notification.

  Parks Report

  • Work continues on site preparations for the new playground equipment
  • Daily grounds maintenance continues both in the park and on the frisbee golf course

Deputy Miller asked if the Town still has removable speed bumps for use on Park St this
summer. No, but will they will check on the cost of new ones.
